Lorea Watson
As a therapist, my goal is to empower others and utilize a strength-based, integrative approach to fit the needs of each individual client. One of my priorities in my practice is to provide a safe place for people to express themselves and be vulnerable in a non-judgmental environment. Previous experiences in my life have influenced my career path, which often gives me the ability to connect easily with others. I have an undergraduate degree in addiction studies from Minot State University and a master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Dakota. I am trained and certified in Brainspotting and plan to continue working on understanding the neuropathology of trauma. I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT-tapping), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
